Environment Challenge
Our environment is important to keep clean and safe for all of us to live in. There are many things that affect our environment. This week, we are going to learn more about what we can do to use and conserve the resources provided by our environment safely and smartly.
All Scouts
-
Talk to your family about what it means to you to respect nature.
-
-
Recite the Outdoor Code with your family or leader before taking a hike around your neighborhood or a local park.
-
Talk with your family about aquatic ecosystems in your community, why they are important, and how you can help maintain them.
-
Visit a park to learn more about plants and trees and then explain how they improve our environment.
-
Learn about different forms of environmental pollution (air, land, water, etc.) and how you can help reduce them.
-
Determine ways you can conserve resources at home and practice those methods for at least one week.
Parents & Scout Leaders
-
-
Create a list of different conservation projects your unit might be able to participate in when you next meet.
