Scouting the Zoo Family Event: Event Changes
Join us on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Milwaukee County Zoo for a unique experience as we have a new program for the Scouting the Zoo Family Event. Due to required event updates, here are some key highlights:
Due to social distancing concerns, we are postponing camping, unit displays and food services until 2021.
Units may still register, but all activities and on-site registration will be done by household as we make a one-time shift to a family-based event.
We will be offering basic and advanced Scout skill programs to appeal to all ages and some volunteers will be needed to execute our “Scout Grotto” areas.
We intend to offer a scavenger hunt and geocache activity. Most competitions will be adjusted to comply with all Scout and zoo program requirements.
Follow us on
Facebook
for up-to-date information and for the event update video recorded August 4, 2020 that better outlines the event adjustments.
The new event guide, quick sheet and registration will be uploaded and reopened after noon on Monday, August 10, 2020 and can be found
