Spring Fix-It - Camp Oh-Da-Ko-Ta

Scouts and Scouters are invited to serve our camp this spring by helping to get it ready for the summer season! Help is needed with brush, wood and debris clean up. There will also be small projects and general camp clean up. No special skills needed.

  • Saturday, May 4, 2019- Check in begins at 7:30 a.m. Work begins at 8:00 a.m.
  • Lunch will be provided by the Kanwa tho Lodge, Order of the Arrow
  • Please bring work gloves and a water bottle
  • Registration closes on May 1 at 5:00 p.m. - Any late registrants must provide their own lunch

Outdoor Ethics Orientation

The goal of this course is to introduce the concept of Outdoor Ethics in a fun and engaging way. It should help participants at all program levels understand the general principles behind Scouting's outdoor ethics program.

Counselor In-Training Opportunities

We are looking for Scouts ages 14-15 to come and experience our C.I.T. program at Camp Oh-Da-Ko-Ta and Indian Mound Scout Reservation! Your Scouts will learn valuable leadership skills while being on camp staff and lead young Cub Scouts through their daily program.

During the first week, the CIT’s will rotate between Scoutcraft, Eco-Con, and the Waterfront to determine what area they like the best. The second week they will get to experience the whole program in the area of their choosing. We will provide room and board and all necessary training during those 2 weeks.

Character Camp - We Still Need Volunteers!

The 2019 Character Camp is coming soon and needs eager volunteers to join us! Every May, the Learning for Life character education program hosts its Character Camp at Indian Mound Scout Reservation, which is a pivotal point in the character development of our children. Learning for Life grade groups receive a one-day camp experience, serving as an exciting culmination from the LFL school year. We are seeking volunteers to help us with Field Sports, Team-building Activities, Craft Activities, Kitchen (staff lunch prep), Health Officer for the day, Camp Tours or Ship STEM.

North Shore Annual Explorer Agility Challenge

Join us for the North Shore Fire/Rescue Annual Explorer Agility Challenge! The department's Exploring Post 705 will be hosting a series of timed fire skill challenges for Learning for Life registered fire and emergency Explorer posts within Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. The action packed event is an opportunity for Explorers to test their fire skills, meet new people and win awards for their post. Observers are welcome.

Milwaukee Brewers Scout Day

Baseball season is just around the corner! Join us for Scout Day at Miller Park on Saturday, June 22 as the Brewers host the Cincinnati Reds.

Powder Horn Course - Register Now!

Powder Horn is a high-adventure resource management course designed to introduce Scouting's adult leaders to exciting program possibilities that expose them to a wide range of fun and challenging outdoor/high adventure activities.


National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT)

NYLT is an intense week-long, youth-oriented leadership training experience for Boy Scouts and Venturers. Highly qualified youth staff will teach participants the concepts of what a leader must BE, what a leader must KNOW, and what a leader must DO. Participants will learn and practice valuable leadership skills they can use in Scouting and beyond.

Camp Ammon 

Camp Ammon is open to boys and girls who are at least 13 years old and registered as a Scouts BSA, Venturer or Explorer. Camp attendees come from all across the state of Wisconsin and beyond.
