Scouting the Zoo at the Milwaukee County Zoo

Scouting the Zoo showcases the Scouting program of Three Harbors Council. This program is open to every Cub Scout, Scout BSA, Venturer, Explorer, Scout leader, their families and the general public. The program will provide hands-on experiences for youth members that are exciting for all ages.

2021 Scouting the Zoo Feature Animal

The Scouting the Zoo staff is proud to announce the 2021 feature animal is the Snow Leopard. Native to the mountains of Asia, these apex predators typically live a solitary life. They are difficult to see in the wild due to their coloring and fur patterns, that are unique to each animal.

The Milwaukee County Zoo has three Snow Leopards; Asa, Orya and Milja. Asa and Orya are both 7 years old and the parents of Milja who will be celebrating her first birthday on May 11, 2021. We are excited to feature the snow leopard on this year’s patch and will be including them in our programs for this year.
