Jonathan and his partner, Cassandra, are the proud parents of two Eagle Scouts, both brotherhood members of the lodge and members of Crew 595 in West Allis.
Mr. Schroeder is a lifelong scouter. He earned his Eagle in Troop 303 in Merrill, WI, in 1994 and has served as an adult leader since he turned 18 in 1996. In the Order, he was elected and completed his Ordeal in 1993 and sealed his membership in 1994 with Tom Kita Chara Lodge. He joined Kanwa tho Lodge in 2015 and was awarded the Vigil Honor in 2023. He served as the Vigil Adviser from 2024 to 2026.
Outside of scouting, Mr. Schroeder has been a social studies teacher at Bay View High School in Milwaukee since 2003. He is the chair of the Social Studies Department for the school and served as varsity softball coach for 13 seasons, as well as in a variety of other coaching and advisory positions. He is also an active member of both McKinley and Silas Shepherd Masonic Lodges as well as a Teaching Fellow for the Holocaust Education Resource Center in Milwaukee.
